Abstract

|
This study sought to explore the relationships between circumstances of dietary, physical activity and mental health away the elderly in korea. The date of ‘The fifth korean national health and nutrition examination survey 2010’ was analyzed for this study. The questionnaire was measured regarding physical activity, circumstances of dietary life, mental health and socio-economic characteristics. For statistical analysis, the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 19.0 for Windows was used. Economic activity group showed differences in suicidal ideation associated with gender, age, intense physical activity, circumstances of dietary, in depression mood related to gender, age, residential district, education, circumstances of dietary, in stress associated with gender, income level, intense physical activity, circumstances of dietary. Economic inaction group showed differences in suicidal ideation associated with gender, education, circumstances of dietary, in depression mood associated with circumstances of dietary, in stress related to gender, education, basic livelihood security, walking. In conclusion, both individual and physical activity factors affected mental health. Many policy and academic attention will be necessary for the elderly welfare recipients`` mental health.
